Summer Company – Actor/Instructor(s)
Timeframe: June 4 – August 17 (11 weeks) anticipated.
Up to 6 Full-time (approx. 30-35 hours/week) positions available.

Theatre 3×60 seeks up to 6 actor/instructors for its 2017 Summer Festival Season to perform in a slate of fully staged productions, staged readings, cemetery walks; and to teach summer youth camps and participate in promotional theatre activities.

Successful candidates will be between the ages of 18 and 30, a registered full-time secondary or post-secondary student returning to school on a full-time basis in the fall of 2017, a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act 2, be legally entitled to work under relevant provincial legislation and regulations.

Formal post-secondary theatre performance training and previous experience teaching youth theatre programs is ideal, but previous experience performing in community theatre and working with youth will be considered. Suitability for the artistic requirements of the available roles is also essential and applicants may be requested to attend an audition or submit a video audition. All positions are subject to funding approvals.

Summer Festival – Stage Manager
Timeframe: May 15 – August 3 (11 weeks) anticipated
1 Full-time (30-35 hours/wk) position available.

Theatre 3×60 seeks a Stage Manager to support, execute, and report on the company’s production activities for the Summer Festival including staged productions, cemetery walks, staged readings, and Durham Minifest one act play festival.

The successful candidate will be between the ages of 18 and 30, a registered full-time secondary or post-secondary student returning to school on a full-time basis in the fall of 2017, a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act 2, be legally entitled to work under relevant provincial legislation and regulations, and must be able to provide own means of transportation.

Previous formal theatre production & stage management training and/or experience is ideal, but previous theatre experience and knowledge in any area will also be considered, subject to demonstrated skillsets in event planning, scheduling, organization, personnel management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced creative environment. This position is subject to funding approvals.
